ETBO® stems from scientific research driven by an essential question: ¿what makes a team rehigh colourncione?.
The methodology was developed from the Dr. Joan's doctoral research Anton Ros Guasch (2006) and co-founder of the ETBO® English (UK) the University AutòNoma from Barcelona and validated in the academic field as an innovative proposal for analysing team behaviour.
ETBO® proposes a conceptual shift along three axes that gives the instrument greater validity compared to classical psychometric tools:
Self-perception / self-report
Internal variables (traits)
Unit: individual
Direct external observation
Observable behaviour in context
Unit: group interaction
A deductive approach, based on the analysis of classic psychological models of competencies, team roles, and organisational behaviour; and an inductive approach, derived from the direct observation of real teams and the identification of behaviours that foster their success.
A doctoral research project in Psychology, validated by experts and linked to the Faculty of Psychology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Currently in collaboration with the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Barcelona.
A model that understands each person not only as an individual, but as an active part of a system of relationships. It analyses how each behaviour influences the dynamics and the collective functioning of the team.
Over 50 scientifically validated, observable behaviours that influence team dynamics, collaboration and performance.

What you think you're doing isn't always what's happening in the team
A team's performance does not depend solely on individual talent, but on the balance and activation of behaviours and roles within the system.
Identify 8 behavioural roles:
More than 50 observable behaviours grouped into a dynamic model that enables team functioning to be understood and optimised.
Many tools rely on self-perception: what a person thinks, feels or says about the way they work.
ETBO® take a different approach: analyse observable behaviour, that is to say, what actually happens when people collaborate, make decisions and interact within a team.
This change is key because it provides a better understanding of how the team actually works, with greater context and less subjectivity — we are not evaluating personality or static profiles, but observable behavioural patterns.
